Since I was young, I knew I wanted to be in a profession working with and helping people. I grew up playing in my grandfather’s orthodontic clinic in India; it was right off the house and we would spend hours with him there. I never realized the impact it would have on me until years later when I found myself in my last year of dental school in the “Intro to Orthodontics” class and I realized, “this is it! This is what I want to do!” I was truly and genuinely excited about the profession and the impact it would have on everyone who came into the office. Fast forward a few more years, after more school, training, and working- Ridgefield Orthodontics was created- a place I hope to become a cornerstone in the community, where we will welcome families into our dental family and grow together.
I was born and raised in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. I attended New York University for my Bachelors degree in Biology and Temple University where I attained my DMD degree. Following dental school, I completed a general practice residency and Orthodontic Residency in New York City. The hospital based residency gave me the opportunity to work alongside and delve into complex cases in cooperation with specialists in the field. This rigorous but rewarding few years helped to shape my orthodontic path forward. From there, my husband and I moved to Fairfield County, CT and are so excited to be starting Ridgefield Orthodontics. Having a personalized, family run office, where we get to form relationships with families and the community has been something I have been dreaming of, and I can’t wait to establish that here.
